Andreozzi Architects is a unique team of design-oriented architects concentrating in waterfront custom residential architecture. Our work includes a specialization in traditional Shingle Style residences designed and built along the shoreline from New England to the Bahamas.

Our years of experience in designing waterfront homes brings to the table a wealth of site specific information. These harsh wind and salt water battered environments demand an understanding of materials that will withstand the oceanfront microclimate and our experience in working with the strict requirements of governmental and local coastal regulation whether it is located on the rocky New England coast or a tropical island in the Bahamas. We often coordinate a team of engineers and biologists to insure a house siting that meets all specialized waterfront building codes and local ordinances (CRMC, FEMA, DEM…).

The challenge of designing a new home is complex and multifaceted. At Andreozzi Architects we strive to develop solutions that resolve the spatial planning issues of modern life while maintaining an aesthetic rooted in history and tradition. Our work in designing custom Shingle Style homes comes from a deep-rooted love for the craft behind the architecture and our homes often contain custom designed moldings and millwork we draw full size by hand to artistically explore each curve and line. Custom staircases, kitchens, built-ins, even windows and doors all contribute to the integrated and organic quality of place we wish to instill in all of our designs. No detail goes unnoticed. When the perfect clock could not be found for a client's kitchen, we designed one. When a client wanted their dining set to be a seamless complement to a newly designed home, we custom designed one. From leaded glass windows, photograph frames, media room built-ins to traditional fountain pens we welcome all opportunities to design the environments people live, work and interact in.

Renovations & additions can be some of the more challenging of projects - they can also be some of the most rewarding for both us and our clients. When adding on to or renovating an existing structure we pay particular attention to the relation of new to old, striving to make this transition as seamless as possible while adding resale value at every opportunity. Often, renovations provide the opportunity to explore entirely new directions from the original house. The final products may utilize the underlying foundation and structure of the original residence but in the end appear dramatically different. A career of studying architecture and years of chairing the Bristol Historic District Commission has given David Andreozzi a unique sensitivity and respect of architectural history and the ability to understand a historic project from both a board’s perspective and the land owner's perspective.

Great design can only occur with great teams. All of our projects are all built around the client and our team and then include the many other “creatives” such as landscape architects, and interior decorators, etc. to produce great architecture in symphony. There is no room for big egos within our groups. A search for designers with a similar attitude toward team integration is our primary focus when we interview for future projects. Andreozzi Architects team members are diverse, experienced, and passionate about design. Our backgrounds in carpentry, furniture design, sculpture, painting, and computer technology all combine with our skills and abilities as architects to celebrate our clients dreams as well as provide a rigorous and rational approach to problem solving.

Current projects include a new private compound, “L'Aube de Mer,” that will be one of the first privately built residences at the renowned Abaco Club on Winding Bay, an exclusive 520 acre private resort that is currently being built by Peter de Savary on Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas. Mr. de Savary has developed some of the world’s most intriguing developments, including Cherokee Plantation, Carnegie Abbey, Bovey Castle, and The London Outpost. This new unique club is a focused resort community fashioned around a true links style championship golf course designed by Scotland’s renowned golf course architect Donald Steel. The course is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in December of 2004. The facility includes 75 cottages and 60 lots for privately built estate homes. The pristine property on which L'Aube de Mer will be built is covered with exotic species of trees and plants…orchids, too numerous to count, actually growing in the trees. The building envelope has been chosen, the site has been carefully cleared, and we are preparing to break ground.

For L'Aube de Mer we have built a team of consultants and contractors that will use the internet to transfer information seamlessly. Our international clients will have the ability to view their drawings throughout the design phase and continue to follow the construction process online using the internet. Through a process of interviewing numerous design professionals and visiting newly constructed Bahamian projects we have assembled a team that represents a blend of local professional Bahaman talent and support including architectural consulting, engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical,) surveying, landscaping, and construction. Our experience is deep, our team is strong…and it shows in the development and progress of L'Aube de Mer .

At Andreozzi Architects we are driven by a passion for creating elegant architectural solutions that address our clients needs and desires in ways that are both innovative and respectful of tradition and craft.
